Carer
Childcare Vouchers (Wales) operates an electronic voucher system which is designed to make life as easy as possible for all carers.
After the initial registration process, all administration will be done by us. You need only register once irrespective of the number of children in your care receiving our vouchers.
You will not receive any paper vouchers and there is no redemption requirement on your part since this is done automatically.
You will receive regular BACS payments directly into your bank account and a remittance advance detailing exactly who the payments relate to.
There are only two requirements for you to be registered with us:
- You must be registered or approved by an official body (e.g. CSIW, OFSTED) and supply us with a copy of your registration certificate.
- You must have a UK bank account into which we can make payments.
Here’s how the system works in more detail …..
- A parent of a child in your care will ask if you are registered with Childcare Vouchers (Wales) to accept our vouchers.
- If you have not yet registered, but wish to do so, please give the parent your permission to send us your contact details so that we can send you the necessary registration forms.
- Complete the registration form including your bank details and sign it to confirm that you accept our terms and conditions
- You will receive BACS payments directly into your bank account on or around the first of each month
- We will email you a remittance advice which gives a breakdown of the payment clearly showing which child each payment relates to. We will post your remittance advice if you don’t have an email facility.
- Under HMRC regulations you are required to inform us immediately of any changes to your registration with the official body, and of course, you should tell us immediately of any changes to your bank details.
If you have previously registered, just tell the parent that you have done so and there is no further action required by you.
